St. Jude Memphis Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K

Some of y’all know I’ve been ill this year. Some nagging injuries have kept me sidelined from racing. I was not planning on running the Memphis Marathon or Half Marathon or 5K this year (I ran the Marathon in 2005 and the Half Marathon in 2006). But I ran into my former student–and ASU track star–Eddie on campus the other day and he’s planning on running the 5K. He thinks he can win it! Go, Eddie!
Annnway, he got me motivated to run some part of it. If either of the 2 of y’all out there who actually read this blog are planning on/interested in running Memphis, let me know and maybe we could suffer through it together. Any of the three–Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K–are fine with me.
Also, if you are looking for a pacer, I can pace you down to 6:15/mile for the 5K, 7:30/mile for the Half, 8:00-9:00 for the Full. Anything lower and I have a heart attack.

I saw your posts and I thought I would share with you our site Fifty States HALF Marathon Club http://www.HalfMarathonClub.com . Help us get the word out! Come join our club! We will give nice awards for reaching your goal. We have a 50 STATE CHALLENGE and a 100 HALF ANYWHERE CHALLENGE.
The 100 HALF ANYWHERE CHALLENGE is exclusive to half marathons and half ironmans, but can be completed in ANY state.
BUT our 50 STATE CHALLENGE accepts marathons, half marathons, half ironmans, and full ironmans ALL TO COUNT TOWARD YOUR 50 STATE GOAL (any of those events can count toward a state)!
We are having a member event for members to meet other members from all over the US on January 30th down in Florida at the weekend event of ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon for those club members that can make it. And then we will be holding an annual event and give out awards annually in a different state every year.
